Melbourne Film Festival

UP&UP Creative was privileged to work on the design of the documentary film Strange Birds in Paradise - A West Papuan Story. The film has been in festivals all over the world and is screening this week and next at the Melbourne International Film Festival: Friday 30 July 7pm and Friday 6 August 2.30pm at ACMI Cinema 2 in Melbourne.

The film is an expedition of imagination and discovery to the hidden Indonesian province of West Papua that exposes its sad history and desperate hopes but culminates in a joyful and defiant musical celebration.

We highly recommend the film... it is beautiful and deeply moving. For tickets or more information go to strangebirds.com.au

Festival a success!

UP&UP Creatives Director Monique McNamara, creator of the Gertrude St Projection Festival.

The Festival is one way UP&UP Creative gives back to our community of Fitzroy where we have based our business for the last 10 years.

UP&UP Creative is proud to back the festival with marketing, strategy, design and PR which has seen the festival grow 3fold over the last 3 years.

Together Monique and Co-Director Kym Ortenburg have created a celebrated Melbourne event showcasing some of our best Australian and international artists.

This year the festival has been selected to be part of the Victorian State Of Design festival.

The Gertrude St Projection Festival 2010

2010 Festival HAS LAUNCHED!!

We would like to welcome you all to Gertrude St and this 3rd Gertrude St projectionFestival. This event is about celebrating our diversity and promoting respect for all the people that make up our community. We do it through sharing art. We are very proud of how the festival has brought many social and community groups, as well as artists, traders and residents together. The 12 months of planning and work of all these groups come together in these 10 nights of projections. I think this is so neatly summed up in our theme Me. You. Us

Let the fun begin. ENJOY!
Co Directors - Kym and Monique
